辺縁性歯周疾患の病態を生物学的な基礎に基づいて解説し，これらの疾患の病因，診断，治療法，ならびに予防法を教授する。

We describe the pathology of limbic periodontal disease based on biological basis and teach the etiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention methods of these
diseases.

一般目標（GIO）：
個々の患者の辺縁性歯周疾患を適切に診断しそれに基づいて治療を行うために，辺縁性歯周疾患の病態と病因，診査，診断，治療法，ならびに予防法を理解する。

GIO: To understand the protocol for etiology, examination, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of periodontitis in order to treat the patients based on appropriate diagnosis

1. To have the ability to explain the component of periodontal tissue and periodontal cells
2. To have the ability to explain the mechanism of destruction of periodontal tissue and wound healing after periodontal therapy

毎回講義内容とその感想をレポートにして提出してもらうことによって授業に対する姿勢とともに個人の知識や思考能力を評価する。また，講義内容に関する筆記試験（単に知識を求めるものではないことに注意）を行う。試験80点、レポート20点。
